EYEVAN, which started in 1972 with the concept of "eyewear you wear" and expanded globally in 1985. This eyewear brand was born in 2013 with a new design team, inheriting EYEVAN's philosophy and aesthetic. Based on a wide range of design sources, including old eyeglasses and tools collected by the original design team, as well as architecture and natural objects seen by the designers, the brand pursues forms that are considered beautiful across time.
Its products are created through approximately 400 processes, combining the handiwork of a limited number of skilled artisans in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, one of the world's top eyewear production areas, with machine-made manufacturing using the latest machinery. While seemingly simple and understated, EYEVAN 7285's eyewear, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail, can be considered both an industrial product and a contemporary work of craftsmanship.
