K23.7 FAT PLATING

The Fat Plating collection from 10eyevan, released for 2025SS, incorporates thick plating into 10 eyevan's concept of "beautiful tools." This creates room for enjoying the aging of highly reliable titanium frames, and combined with its unique coloring, expresses an unprecedented world where individuality resides quietly.

From this Fat Plating collection, a new variation has arrived. Replacing the thick Silver 1000 plating is none other than K23.7 YG.

Unlike the dry tone of K18, this unique gold color, which seems to seep from within, offers a sophisticated luxury that is never unpleasantly ostentatious.

As before, the base material remains titanium. While some manufacturers use K18 or Silver 925 as base materials, for 10 eyevan, which approaches eyewear primarily as a tool, this is a naturally obvious choice.

By applying a unique plating to such titanium, the Fat Plating collection achieves a distinctive texture that goes beyond being merely a tool.

Whereas the previous collection used 100% pure Silver 1000 to achieve an unparalleled silvery white, the K23.7 adopted this time is an original blend of gold very close to K24. It's a somewhat subdued, dedicated color not even used in 10 eyevan's regular line.

The environment capable of pursuing such intricate specifications is, in fact, extremely limited globally. Because plating factories inevitably produce wastewater, new factories rarely receive administrative approval, and it's said that even the world's largest eyewear manufacturers cannot establish a plating division. In such circumstances, building relationships with factories willing to undertake elaborate specifications is by no means an overnight achievement.

High-purity plating with a color virtually identical to the raw metal, rather than mere "gold" or "silver" colors, could only be realized for the first time by 10 eyevan, which uncompromisingly pursues both functionality and aesthetic sensibilities.

(Top) End tips with K18 specifications are rarely stocked anywhere other than AFTER, including directly managed stores.
(Bottom) The combination of white shell pads and K23.7 makes the luster of the shell appear even more prominent compared to standard 10 eyevan.

If the Silver 1000 Fat Plating expressed a world where individuality resides quietly, then this K23.7 Fat Plating might be described as a world of utmost restraint, despite everything being of the highest quality.

The end tips, one of 10 eyevan's iconic parts, are specially made of K18, not the Silver 925 used in the regular line. While this more luxurious material would ordinarily stand out, it blends in seamlessly with the K23.7 plated temples, as if to say it's simply more natural this way.

Furthermore, the texture of the shell nose pads, which previously provided a good contrast with inorganic titanium in the regular line, now, when combined with K23.7, feels like a natural and continuous extension of its high-quality material.

This collection represents a refined luxury that, without compromising any of the original 10 eyevan concept, incorporates the highest possible quality for all parts while completely avoiding any unpleasant ostentation. It is undoubtedly a culmination for 10 eyevan.
