The inverted-triangle lens shape, generously rounded and often called "Boston" in Japan, is widely known as "Panto" overseas. It was, of course, a staple in Frame France and can be considered one of the earliest shapes with a distinct style.

Its most notable feature, as the name Boston still widely suggests today, is its flattering fit for the face. Among the many unique shapes of Frame France, it is exceptionally easy to wear. On the other hand, the high-set, solidly crafted bridge is also unique to Panto. Precisely because the overall design is unpretentious, these small yet definite details stand out. If you compare it with the Crown Panto we introduced recently, you might enjoy the subtle differences.

The item we are introducing this time is this classic shape reimagined with a clear frame. The clear celluloid reveals the coreless construction through the material, giving it a light and understated feel, while simultaneously possessing a unique luster and presence that cannot be fully replicated by current materials and manufacturing methods.

A clear frame that doesn't stand out against your skin or outfit, offering a subtle sense of effortless style, is a color we particularly recommend for the upcoming season when you want to avoid heaviness. Paired with dark lenses, it becomes a cool pair of sunglasses; as clear lenses, it's perfect for daily wear. Its face-flattering Parisian style ensures it complements any look without feeling out of place.

Features such as the sharp-edged paddle temples and the pinheads that penetrate the material, meticulously flattened and finished, are characteristics unique to vintage pieces from an era where almost every process was completed by hand. This is a pair that is easy to wear, yet undoubtedly provides the sense of satisfaction and excitement that only genuine articles possess.
