Many of AFTER's customers, who frequent our eyewear and watch shop, own multiple pairs of glasses and multiple watches. They enjoy choosing from their collection to match their mood and style for the day. For such eyewear and watch enthusiasts, this extends to when they travel or go on long outings. It's not uncommon for people to carry several items at once, such as multiple pairs of glasses and sunglasses, along with several watches and their spare straps.
For these eyewear and watch enthusiasts, we have completed a case that is truly "AFTER-like." While it has a somewhat charming appearance, it doesn't overpower its role as a case, and most importantly, it offers unparalleled functionality. This is the Glasses & Watch Case.
The partner we chose to create this case was none other than RAMIDUS. With "New Standard" as its concept, RAMIDUS produces many products with rich functionality and a basic yet not-too-casual appearance. Their worldview is highly compatible with the eyewear and watches handled by AFTER, which led to this collaboration.
In terms of appearance, we designed it to be as simple as possible, without any odd, eye-catching elements. Not only is the AFTER logo discreetly incorporated into the woven label, but even fine details like zippers and fabric use what could be called a refreshingly understated approach, blending in seamlessly without preconceptions.
Among these details is the single horizontal stitch at the bottom of the case. This signature detail of RAMIDUS products is arguably the only true design element of this case.
In terms of functionality, the case is designed to store up to four items, combining glasses and watches, with movable partitions to separate each space. This allows you to adjust the space to fit the size of the items you're storing, or even remove one partition to create a larger space for storing eyewear or watch care products.
And the most distinctive feature of this case, true to AFTER's style, is the rubber band used at the bottom of the storage compartments to secure watches. This allows it to be used not only as a glasses case but also to store both glasses and watches together, or even as a dedicated watch case.
The inside of the case is made of polyester microfiber, gently protecting your valuable glasses and watches and preventing scratches. The large pocket on the back of the flap is highly elastic, suitable for storing cleaning cloths or spare watch straps, while a narrow pocket in the center of the case is cleverly designed to hold a screwdriver for adjusting glasses or a spring bar removal tool for watches.
I believe there are very few shops, other than AFTER, that primarily specialize in both eyewear and watches. This case, achievable precisely because it is AFTER, is an ideal design that allows you to compactly carry all your necessary items, whether for glasses, watches, or both, in just one case.
