The mirror dial speaks volumes about its condition, and this particular Air King boasts a near-perfect, dazzling one.
It features alpha hands, wedge-shaped indices, and a mirror dial, representing the coolest era of the Air King.
What's interesting about this particular piece is that despite being from 1968, it's fitted with alpha hands and wedge-shaped indices.
Normally, alpha or leaf hands are only found until around 1965-66. However, since the white dial Air King we have in stock is also from 1968 and features the same design, I believe the combination of alpha hands and wedge-shaped indices for dateless 5500, 6426, and 6427 models extended until around 1969.
