Andy Warhol, the artist most admired by the designer of EYEVAN 7285. EYEVAN 7285 has, in various forms, shaped this image into designs such as the 364, which drew inspiration from the large Boston-shaped glasses Warhol wore in his later years, and the 362, which was more vaguely inspired by the glasses worn by those considered "grand masters."
For the new -374- joining the 2026SS collection, the same approach used in the 2021SS -172- was employed: directly drawing the design onto a portrait of Warhol.
The temples are not made by conventional injection molding, but rather by a core-lamination method where two sheets of fabric are bonded to a core to form the shape. Furthermore, hand-filing with a rotary file is applied to create an irregular, rounded top surface that would be impossible with ordinary core-laminated temples. This alone, despite being a minimalist design with no special adornments, achieves a very distinctive atmosphere.
Precisely because it was designed to suit Warhol, when worn by a man, it creates a somewhat mysterious and androgynous impression, making it a unique piece in its own category.
