1014 Sunglasses
71,500 JPY
The 1014, a double-bridge frame expressing a contemporary take on American vintage style, has arrived. This model, a reinterpretation of the 191 released in SS2025 with a subtly different lens shape that could be described as either square or aviator, is characterized by its restrained minimalism, with an unadorned bridge and temples.
The bridge, in particular, was reportedly redesigned multiple times, resulting in a subtly curved, irregular outline. Mr. Nakagawa, the designer of EYEVAN 7285, realized while examining various double-bridge frames that the bridge greatly influences the overall aesthetic.
Such precise attention to detail in design is rarely seen today, with a few exceptions like Lunor during the Gernot Lindner era. Furthermore, vintage examples often show slight variations due to being bent and processed by hand.
This is a uniquely EYEVAN 7285 approach that truly cannot be replicated by vintage methods: precisely reproducing an irregular and subtle outline using a master mold. It features original "EYEVAN curved lenses" made of Japanese glass, which are created by mixing metal particles to achieve the desired color, then shaping each lens individually after melting.
