Black Out Ref. 14270

The Ref. 14270, the fourth generation of the Explorer.

This particular model, nicknamed "Black Out," has the numbers 3, 6, and 9 on the dial unpainted in white, a feature found only in the first two years of production.

This is an E-series model from 1991, one of the earliest "Black Out" examples.

Even collectors are said to hold onto their "Black Out" models, demonstrating its high collectibility and rarity.

There are two types of "ROLEX" prints, silver letter and white letter, and this one features the highly popular silver letter.

Even under a loupe, there is no noticeable damage to the dial, and both the hands and dial retain their original tritium.

Furthermore, this particular model has a seconds hand with a dot at the tip, which is a desirable feature.

This model has it all: Black Out, dot-tip seconds hand, silver lettering, lug holes, single clasp, like a perfect hand in mahjong.

The bracelet is also P-series (1991), maintaining consistency.

Although there are no accessories, it feels like models as complete as this are becoming increasingly rare each year.
