THE Italian case Ref. 6518

This is a special case, commonly known as an "Italian case," with a flat, sharply cut case side.

It is thicker than a standard 34mm and has sharply defined surfaces, giving it a more substantial feel when worn than its size suggests.

While the case alone is special, this particular model features a rare dial with hour markers resembling the Eiffel Tower motif.

Combined with the applied crown mark and ROLEX lettering, dolphin hands, and a black-and-red roulette calendar, the dial is exceptionally well-designed.

The white dial has aged to an ivory color, which adds to its charm.

It's also a pleasure to see that the "plus" sign on the crown is still present.

It's very difficult to find a 34mm case from the 1950s with so many desirable features.
