This model is based on an eyeglass shape sampled from a catalog of an American historical eyewear manufacturer, published in 1935. It took several seasons to incorporate this shape into the frame design. At first glance, this highly distinctive shape makes it difficult to distinguish between left and right. The front and temples feature military hinges with widely spaced two-pin rivets. These hinges and the flat washers on the inside are newly manufactured parts created specifically for this model. While the details and ideas have a classic feel, the overall design evokes a contemporary sensibility.
