340MR Sunglasses
78,100 JPY
The Model 340, one of EYEVAN 7285's masterpieces, has been re-released as part of the 2025 AW collection. While retaining the basic design, the rims have been made slightly thinner, and new, somewhat slimmer temples have been adopted.
Of course, the iconic details used in the previous model remain the same.
The hinges, inspired by the zippers of MA-1 jackets manufactured in the 1960s, are a highly elaborate and intricate construction. A plate-like part is fitted into the hinge base and then crimped with a total of three rivets. To match the reduced volume of the front and temples from the previous Model 340, newly crafted hinges with the same design are used.
Furthermore, the rivets that secure the hinges appear to be 3-pin, but are actually a 2+1 pin, with one rivet having a different thickness. Care has been taken down to 0.1mm to avoid making the hinge area overly conspicuous.
Additionally, the design of the metal core peeking through the temples features the same striped pattern as the aluminum case included with EYEVAN 7285, expressed through engraving.
With its distinctive EYEVAN 7285 details and slightly larger size, this is a pair that a wider range of people can choose with satisfaction.
The sunglasses feature original "EYEVAN curved lenses" which are Japanese-made glass lenses, produced by mixing metal particles and other components to create the desired color, then individually molded after melting.
