1196-1 Sunglasses

The -1096-, previously introduced in our journal, was an ambitious piece with Patek Philippe's Calatrava as its design source. Its bridges, end pieces, and temples were sampled from the buckle, lugs, and dial of the belt. A rimless model in that lineage has now arrived.

The frame structure uses the same design as the -140-, which was EYEVAN 7285's first two-point frame and has been a popular masterpiece since its release. The "flex strap" structure, seen in vintage frames, creates appropriate tension by inserting a double plate between the end piece and the lens, preventing the lens from shifting.

The lens shape adopts the same barrel shape as the -1009-, which was a striking new proposal in the 2025 AW collection. The sunglass lens material is lightweight and highly durable MR (1.60), with a special custom-made color.
