1158 Sunglasses

This model, which combines the structure of the 1000 model released in 2024AW with the lens shape of the 158 from 2019SS, showcases the depth of EYEVAN 7285's archives. The front uses β-titanium sheet metal, with only the end pieces sliced to 1mm thickness, and hinges brazed to the back, employing a highly specialized manufacturing method.

The top surface of the hinges features a diamond cut, which, combined with EYEVAN 7285's original slotted screws, creates a very industrial and serene impression. The soft, rectangular lens shape is inspired by TV screen-shaped watch cases commonly seen in the 1970s. The designer himself has mentioned that he might not be able to create this perfectly balanced lens shape again, making it a truly exquisite square shape.

The sunglasses feature original "EYEVAN curved lenses" made from Japanese glass. These lenses are created by blending metal particles and other materials to achieve the desired color, then melting the mixture and molding each lens individually.
