Various lens shapes such as oval, Boston, Wellington, and crown panto have existed for over half a century. While these are classic, there are forgotten shapes that are never seen today. A new proposal that stands out among EYEVAN 7285's 2025AW collection is the barrel shape (barrel-shaped) of the 1009.

Even if it's unfamiliar, the barrel shape, with its combination of straight and curved lines, can be said to be a very well-balanced lens shape. This undeniably classic shape has been reinterpreted and reborn with a modern and sharp aesthetic, a truly EYEVAN 7285-esque approach.

Furthermore, not only are there two lens sizes, 45 and 48, but each is treated as a separate model, and the temple design is also switched for each model. The temples of the model that just arrived feature metal riveted hinges, hand-finished by artisans, which were also used in the 197 model, as described later.

As for a lens shape that proposed a new industry standard, we recall the 197, which sold out in a flash after its release in 2024SS. When the 197 was released, the oval shape had not yet gained widespread acceptance. However, as those who appreciate eyewear would have noticed, various brands have been proposing oval shapes since the beginning of this year.

This is a unique piece that proposes a completely new category.

The sunglass lenses are original "flat lenses" made of Japanese glass, with colors blended by mixing metal particles and then individually molded after melting.
