This model is based on the design of the Parisien, a classic French vintage style, but with the particularly rare cell-rimmed specification. The size is also designed to be easy to wear.
Wrapping acetate around a metal frame is a classic technique, but this model takes it a step further by using a highly difficult construction method where the acetate is pinned to both ends of the rim. This manufacturing method can only be done by a single craftsman who also handles Chrome Hearts eyewear, and it is characterized by its beautiful finish without any adhesive marks because no adhesive is generally used.
The acetate used for the rim is dead stock from Japan for the clear version, and beautiful Italian acetate for the black version. Especially for the clear version, thanks to the pin-fastened structure that does not use adhesive, the materials blend so well that it is hard to tell at first glance that it is cell-rimmed. This is a special piece that reproduces the rare clear cell-rimmed specification seen only in some archive pieces, such as old Oliver Goldsmith.
From the endpiece to the temple, parts with a three-dimensional form, also used in MODEL 185, are adopted, giving the overall impression a modern feel. The inside of the tip of the flexible β-titanium temple is equipped with an anti-slip feature, ensuring functionality as well.
