Cartier Santos Dumont PARIS
The "Santos," known as the world's first practical wristwatch for men, was created by Louis Cartier for Alberto Santos-Dumont in 1904.
This particular model is a Santos-Dumont from 1973, when the Louis Cartier Collection unveiled 12 models from its historical collection.
The "PARIS" inscription at the 6 o'clock position, instead of "SWISS," is a hallmark of the Louis Cartier Collection.
This particular piece is in good, unpolished condition, with no cracks on the dial.
It comes with the original 18K gold deployant buckle from that period.
Since the leather strap on this watch cannot be adjusted, we will measure the length for the customer who purchases it and have a new leather strap made.
