1016 Chapter ring
This is a Ref. 1016 Explorer I "circle mirror" model, which has become extremely rare in recent years.
Among the long history of the Explorer I, models with a chapter ring on the outer edge of the dial were only produced for about three years, making them the rarest 1016 models.
The presence of the circle adds a sense of density and tightens the simple 3, 6, 9 dial, making this a highly popular piece.
This particular model is known as a "six-dot" because of the dot at the 6 o'clock position, and it is called an "exclamation point" overseas.
It features long hands where the circle reaches the outer edge, and both the dial and hands retain their original tritium luminous material. The case back is from the second half of 1962, making it a completely original piece composed of all original parts.
The dial also maintains a very lustrous and good condition, without the rough texture often seen in pieces from this era.
The bracelet is a matching 1963 FF58 7206 rivet bracelet.
This 1016 "circle mirror" has an excellent balance of originality and condition.
