EYEVAN 7285

Authentic and Original Sunglasses

Among classic shapes like Wellington and Boston, the EYEVAN 7285 770 sunglasses, which I'm introducing today, have a mysteriously intriguing shape the more you look at them. While they have the angular impression typical of Wellington frames, the lenses themselves are distinctly rounded. This unique shape makes them easy to wear even for those who usually only wear Wellington or Boston styles.

As expected from EYEVAN 7285, the detailing is meticulously crafted. The nose pads are made of titanium and are fastened not with regular screws but with rivets. The nose pads are one of the most visible parts from the front, and by using rivets, they are made thin, simple, and truly beautifully finished.

The part connecting the front and the temples, known as the "hinge" or "endpiece" (智 - tomo), is also made using completely original molds, with a arabesque pattern engraved on it, and the same pattern is also engraved on the reverse side. This part appears to be fastened by a single rivet when viewed from the front, but in reality, it is also secured from the back with another flat-head screw. This allows for a more secure fastening without compromising the design.

The spearhead-shaped endpiece is not merely a decorative part but also possesses sufficient strength. Normally, the back of the nose pad would have a box component required for screw fastening, but without it, the finish becomes this refined. This method of fastening with rivets is also used in vintage eyewear.

What's even more impressive is that the lenses are made of glass. Few brands actively want to produce colored lenses because they require holding large lots for each color, but EYEVAN 7285 offers a variety of glass lens colors for each model.

Glass has overwhelmingly high transparency, so it's not uncommon, especially among international customers, for some to insist on glass lenses. Also, the pleasant weight of the glasses when held is another characteristic that can only be experienced with glass lenses.

All these details are packed with the finest techniques of Fukui's craftsmen. This kind of approach is not seen in vintage pieces.

A transparent fabric is applied to the back of the temples, allowing the intricately engraved core to be seen through.

EYEVAN 7285 is incredibly detailed in its craftsmanship, but they don't necessarily want to emphasize that, so the exterior is actually quite minimalist. At first glance, it looks simple, but there's so much more to notice the more you look at it when you get home, so customers who have purchased them sometimes discover new details later on.

I believe this is a pair that can be used for a long time daily, with a unique shape that suits almost anyone, a simplicity that doesn't stand out negatively, and meticulous craftsmanship even in the less noticeable parts.
